This morning I was lamenting the fact that 4 of 5 Republican presidential candidates said the Iraq war was worth the cost. To this my wife quickly replied: "That's because it hasn't cost them anything".

Even assuming it was "worth the cost" to America, preposterous as that assumption is, would that make it right?
