All this prattle about Iran has to do with Iran's nationalized oil supply. The rest is hot air. The problem with Iran is that they sell oil to China and India, and their oil is nationalized. That was the problem with Iraq. That's why all that socialized oil supply had to come to a stop. The US/UK has had a history of trying to control the world through the disruption of oil supply. FDR shut off the oil supply to Japan and provoked World War II. The threat during WWII was that Japan and Germany threatened the imperial power of the UK. Power was transferred from the UK to the imperial US empire.
The foreign policy in the Middle East has had one goal, control the oil, and the US and UK have one god, and that is money. No god comes before money, and don't anyone forget that.
Right now like Japan and Germany of the past, China and India threaten the Anglo-American grip on power. Iran has a nasty habit of selling these two oil. China and India refine their own oil in a nationalized system. The West frustrated by the power struggles over oil have slowly weaned themselves from it. Russia has a nasty habit of imprisoning the oil oligarchs who think they will control politics and they have also pushed the US/UK out.
In a last ditch effort to play the same old oil control tricks, the US continues to keep the Middle East in an upheaval politically. Problem is while the US keeps playing the same old tricks everyone else has got wise to the trick and moved on. The US is wasting its time and money and good name continuing ridiculous wars and knee-jerk policy in the Middle East.
All the threats against Iran are all smoke.
