I am a registered Republican, but like most people in the country, I do not believe that there is any difference between a Democrat and a Republican anymore.  But today I was also as impressed, as I was yesterday with the GOP debate.

While the TV touted John Edwards as the winner of today’s debate, I saw Christopher Dobb as the winner.  To me he presented what I see as the most open and honest answers to the questions posed.  Most of the other candidates read from the PR script of important issues tattooed inside their eyeballs.  Americans are looking for an honest speaker they can trust, not just a robot who can read.

While we all agree that global warming and Iraq are important issues, no matter who is in the Whitehouse, these matters will be addressed.  The question is who can LEAD the country and are they aware of the REAL issues.

The only issue that I did not hear from the Democrats that is one of the ROOT SOCIAL issues in America was that of Judicial Policy.  The Democrats need to address this issue if they want this Republican Vote in November, because the Constitution and the Bill of Rights FORBIDS the Judicial Branch from making law, no matter what twisted sense of logic they impose upon the American people.  This is especially true in the Family Courts which are DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for over 50% of the nation’s social issues from teen pregnancy, abortion, divorce and many more.

Barack Obama impressed me with his candor and while his presentation was not as crisp as the seasoned veterans, that lack of “good old boy” background appeals to me.  He is not dragging Washington’s baggage, while Hillary Clinton is the direct opposite.  She is dragging all of the same old luggage that travels Washington each and everyday on the beltway.  While I would love to vote for a woman President for many reasons, Hillary Clinton would never be that woman.

Joe Biden was there, but Joe Biden is another baggage dragger that genuflects to the radical social agenda groups circling Washington like money eating vultures.  Would not vote for him if he was the ONLY candidate!

Bill Richardson is a nice guy and all, but right now this country needs a LEADER and Bill Richardson while being able to handle his state ok, putting him in the Whitehouse would be like dropping a TeleTubbie into a meat grinder. Democrats if you want my vote stick to the issues:

  1. Economy
  2. Iraq – (See above)
  3. Debt – (See Above)
  4. Justice System revamped from scratch.
  5. Environment
  6. Go to the Whitehouse bathroom and get back the Constitution and Bill of Rights!
As a Republican I have yet to see one candidate from either party who impresses me overall that I would vote for.  If we combined many together we might have one.  I hope went it comes down to the general election that all parties on both sides of the isles work together to get this country back on course.  If not, I will write in “None of the Above”.

Michael C. Morris has been involved in racing since the age of twelve (12) when he took a summer job working at Terry 's Speed Shop located in Phoenixville PA. With the help of his brother John Morris, they teamed up and joined Razzberry Racing. (more...)
