From where it was posted at TruthOut, I lifted the first of the following comments from below the linked article, "Women and Children Last". I submitted the second comment, and though one other has been added in by the moderators since then, mine has not (yet?) appeared below the article. Obviously the propaganda mill is still treasonously at work on this offense, the "demonize Russia" campaign still trying to make hay with it too, and the US MSM still glad to oblige.

__________________How do YOU feel about the "western media's" conscious falsification and misuse of the S.Osettian news reporter's video, after its illicit usurpation by the major media corporations of the US and GB (BBC)? A video recorded DURING an actual Georgian military massacre of children, babies, the elderly, moms and dads, aunts and uncles, by a local news reporter having caught the onslought on camera from the first incoming mass of bombs and missiles that struck the homes in S.Osettia. The video begins not long before midnight. The missiles and bombs can clearly be seen as targeting homes, and at a time when most of the residents would be expected to have been asleep; an unprovoked attack in which unarmed, peaceful civilian citizens were being slaughtered by the mass of incoming bombs, including US bunker buster and cluster bombs, and missiles.

Russian aggression? What hogwash. The Georgians launched a brutal attack on the South Ossetians who along with the Abkhazians have not the slightest wish to live under Georgian overlords, and were never asked if they wanted to do so in the first place. At the same time they targeted Russian peacekeepers there at the invitation of the South Ossetians. The news was on on the wires the moment it happened. Not “Russian claims” but the undisputed observations of reporters. TWENTY-FOUR HOURS passed before the Russians came to their neighbours' aid. If they are to be faulted it is for not hitting back instantly and for not going to Tblisi, grabbing those responsible for aggression and executing them for war crimes including mass murder. The rights of peoples to self-determination must be defended whether in Georgia’s vassal states or in Chechnya or in Kuwait or in Kosovo and Bosnia or in West Papua or wherever a people wishes to exercise it. And yes, a referendum is the right way and the only way to decide for once and for all whether the Georgians have the slightest right to own those regions – fancy geopolitics or no fancy geopolitics

Excellent comment Dion Giles, thank you! I don't believe a word of the "reports" claiming the Russian's were "raping and pillaging" either. They were under strict orders to seriously obey the "letter of the law" in every way. The whole of the Russian conduct in response to the Georgian massacre of S.Osettian Russian citizens WAS conducted "lawfully" by carefully CONSCIOUS INTENT. The Georgians had US military and CIA, as well as MOSSAD (and blackwater) training, funding, equipment, weapons, planners, and even combined war exercises leading up to this heinous attack, and then operatives participating WITH them IN the attack, inc. from blackwater, who were found in the aftermath, in their black uniforms with US flag emblems, among the dead.
The aggressively active and total complicity of the US media in such a mass murder of unarmed and unsuspecting civilians makes them, as far as I'm concerned, co-conspirators in, and facilitators of terrible war crimes. The MSM even stole the video that was taken during the night of the Georgian murderous surprise attack on S.Osettia and showing the massive missile and bombing barrage coming down upon the sleeping homes of S.Osettians; video I had seen the following day, --and then ran that stolen video a few days later, claiming it was what was going on at THAT time, FROM RUSSIAN FORCES, and as if this were then occurring NOT in S.Osettia, but in Gori!!! I could hardly believe my eyes seeing that running on network '"news" "reports"' as if it were "then and there" instead of when and where it had been and had then resulted in the deaths of somewhere between 1400 and 2000 S.Osettians, the destruction of most of their homes and the entire city. The Gerogians during the night of Aug. 7/8 were even chasing down and running over fleeing citizens, including children, with their TANKS!!
A lot of the MSM "commentary" was obviously scripted before the attack! It just shows to go ya how far down the slimey darkworld ragbbit hole the MSM has truly gone, right along with the viciously predatory cabal who have so nefariously hijacked OUR nation!

This same video, after editing out the sections showing what would be too readily recognizable as buildings in the S.Osettian capital city of Tskhinvali, plus making additional manipulatively sinister edits, was then presented in primetime MSM "'news reports"' as THEIR "report". The ensuing depraved result in which the now co-opted and adulterated digital camera's eye-view, live on location video record of a heinous, unprovoked, mass murdering onslought in-process, was then broadcast with voice-over mock report describing it as a Russian attack upon Georgia and claiming it to be proof of currently ongoing "Russian aggression"; falsely claiming it to be RUSSIA in the process of committing war crimes! Showing a video that was purposely falsified to be presented as "live on the scene" "news footage" of an unprovoked invasion of Georgia by "the Reds"; it was also spiced up for added inflamatory appeal with demonizing rhetoric that had been lifted straight out of old cold war propaganda lines, pumping up the neoconning demonize Russia campaign while convincing the American public that they were seeing a reporter's recording of "Russian warcrimes" that were then being committed against Georgian citizens in Gori!!!
The video, taken by a S.Osettian reporter while at great risk of becoming one of the many victims of the thick rain of bombs and missiles falling through the sky above him, was then used days later as an infowar weapon of mass fraud against the US population!
In my opinion, everyone who had a hand in this atrociously vicious act of fraud should be arrested and charged with treason, fraud and as accessories after the fact, complicit facilitators of war crimes and mass murder.
