"India Today" Magazine Publishes Special 120-Page Issue on Sathya Sai Baba

No I'm not associated with this publication. I just thought that there might be some other folks who have an interest in Sai Baba that also might want to know.
What I find perhaps the most remarkable about all these recent honors, by all these venerable, mainstream institutions, is that they are for someone who never once, in almost a full century, ever backed off from his rather bold assertion that he was none other than God Almighty.
And the Indian mainstream media doesn't take such people any more seriously than the American media. I tend to believe the Editor (or Publisher)is probably a devotee. Much of the "intelligentsia" in India actually are devotees. That was the reason (I am told) that Sai Baba's passing was the top international story on Google news, i.e the Chief Editor is a "follower"...
