An alternative viewpoint from that of the "hotdog eaters". I'm averse to using cliche' but, you really "are what you eat".

::::::::

Independent from what,

I have to ask?

From baseball, hotdogs, fireworks?

From credit card fees,

payday loans,

"underwater" mortgages,

bankruptcy proceedings,

banks and other "moneychangers",

"middle men" of any persuasion,

taxes used to fund foreign wars,

insurance requirements,

"all-you-can-eat" buffets,

pharmaceuticals,

cosmetic surgery,

planned obsolescence,

warranties,

call centers,

bills,

junk mail,

spam,

"viral" email,

swine flu virus,

memberships,

subscriptions,

lawn mowing,

dog-walking,

social networking,

the "grid",

grocery stores,

pop culture,

Blue Tooth,

Blue Ray,

I-Phones,

Windows,

Hollywood,

Nascar,

advertising,

propaganda,

foreign oil,

domestic oil,

politicians,

demagogues,

television,

competition,

tradition,

legislation,

religion,

peer pressure,

herd behavior,

"conventional wisdom",

the "status quo",

toxic air,

toxic water,

toxic bodies,

toxic minds,

racism,

bigotry,

misogyny,

ignorance,

gluttony,

narcissism,

disease,

poverty,

homelessness,

despair,

cruelty,

avarice,

greed?

From the consequences of

our actions,

our lifestyle,

our habits,

addictions,

perversions,

illusions,

denials?

From the never-ending cycle

of work, produce, consume?

In pursuit of the illusory

"American Dream"?

From Reality?

Mr Nease is a self-taught philosopher and aspiring pamphleteer observing the collapse of the economy from it's margin. He and his family are in the process of disattaching from the grid and going "rhizome".
