OpEdNews - Diary: Impeachment, assassination and the moral zeitgeist

Nancy Pelosi with her impeachment is off the table position is indeed the most public face of opposition to impeachment. She is Speaker of the House and like all congressional representatives, including John Conyers who Chairs the House Judiciary Committee that is sitting on a call for impeachment hearings, she has taken an oath to defend the constitution against domestic enemies.

What do you suppose would be the consequences if Pelosi (or John Conyers) was assassinated for breaching her oath to defend the constitution against all enemies including domestic ones? Do you think impeachment would be more or less likely to be on the table?

Against a background of 50 million dead to produce the United Nations Charter as humanities peacetreaty prohibitting the launching of aggressive wars, and against the background of thousands of lives of Americans and Iraqis alread been lost in Iraq I ask:

Is the social contract that is the constitution of the United States of America and the wellspring of all legal rights in America worth two human lives?

Is the preservation of the global prohibition against launching aggressive wars that is the United Nations Charter worth two human lives?

I realize that this is a short diary entry but I think the question deserves its own Google able identity. I think the question should be in the zeitgeist whilst there is still time for President Bush to be impeached for torture and for launching an aggressive invasion against domestic and international law.
