That does it.
Here I am working in Oman because so many Kochites and misinformed Republicans have kept Pat Roberts and his cronies in Congress for so long that the state's economy has been messed up for decades--and will continue to be so messed up--unless progressives--of whatever party--take over.
Now, the NY Times article below gives me hope. I, too, find that I can--not only--run on the Republican ticket this year for Kansas' US seat but now I can run on the Democratic and Progressive ticket this year, too. I Might even run on the Green ticket.
You see, I have slept several times in my brother's spare bedroom in Copeland, Kansas just down from Dodge City where the aging Senator Roberts from Kansas sleeps on the couch of a friend and claims to represent the people of Kansas now for over three decades.
In short, I know the state and country better than Roberts does. Since Roberts was first elected to represent Kansas in Congress in 1981 (and was sent off to the beltway), I have lived in almost all of the states legislative districts--as well as other corners of the USA and around the world. In short, like Roberts, I can represent Kansas to the world.
On the other hand, since I have soundly beat Roberts in Globetrotting ( traveling to 103 countries) and sleeping in different abodes in Kansas around the world, I can certainly better represent the millions in Kansas and around the world who have had to search elsewhere for jobs and education.
I will get my platform together soon.
This should be an all out year for progressives--like me and you.--Kevin Stoda
Lacking a House, a Senator Is Renewing His Ties in KansasDODGE CITY, Kan. -- It is hard to find anyone who has seen Senator Pat Roberts here at the redbrick house on a golf course that his voter registration lists as his home. Across town at the Inn Pancake House on Wyatt Earp Boulevard, breakfast regulars say the Republican senator is a virtual stranger.
"He calls it home," said Jerald Miller, a retiree. "But I've been here since '77, and I've only seen him twice."
