News has it Obama is plannig the delivery of an earth shaking speach in Berlin, at the Brandenburger Tor on 24 July 2008. Are we about to witness a repetition of history? I seriously doubt it although from what I have been able to gather here locally, our general populus could easily fall for this as the beginning of a new era and look up to Obama as a new JFK (of sorts).
I'm sure the speech writers are hard at work right now. It's hard to pull the wool over these people's eyes. The writers must be dilligent and very selective. They sure as hell don't want Berlin and the world seeing this for what is is ;
