Let's not forget that Obama was winning the Democratic primaries by more votes than all of the Republican candidates combined. Republicans aren't happy with their party, and they've shown no particular enthusiasm for McCain in particular, and now even less for Palin. Plus, there are about 1/3 more Democrats in the country at this point, than Republicans. Add to that the massive voter registration drive by the Obama campaign, and I don't think the GOP can come up with enough tricks to throw the election this time. They couldn't in 2006, and it looks like the momentum with this one dwarfs even that election.
But, of course I could be wrong....
