Humanity's biggest blunder to date?

Our failure to put into practice the 1948 United
Nations "teaching and education"
recommendation made in the final paragraph of the PREAMBLE at:

In the hope that it might still not be too late to learn from our
mistake, a set of four e-mails were sent to all (or almost all) of the
Republic of Ireland's TDs (elected representatives to Central
Government), Senators, and MEPs (Members of the European
Parliament) yesterday.
It was titled: "Article 5 of the United Nations Universal
Declaration of Human Rights".
