On the eve of the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, here's an observation and request (both unsolicited, of course) for Truthers.

::::::::

Professor Fetzer wrote an article on 9/11 recently (surprise, I know), castigating a reputable scientific journal for labeling his baby (i.e., the 9/11 Truth Movement) as "ugly" - click here. Not to be outdone, Professor Fetzer labels National Geographic's work as "rubbish".

Regardless, an OEN member, John S. Hatch, wrote a response that's typical of Truthers - essentially his comment was, "The Truth Will Out." I find this thinking antiquated and odious but summarizes nicely the growing despair of the Movement in not having achieved... whatever it... once... thought... it could achieve. What were the goals of the 9/11 Truth Movement again?

"Slowly, people are becoming more willing to believe their own eyes and follow their own logic..."

You got that right, Mr. Hatch- their "own logic", which has nothing to do with the reality of the issue. Mind you, this logic has nothing to do with syllogistic, predicate, or even modal logic. Instead, this "logic" is emotion crafted by the false prophets of the 9/11 Truth Movement.

And truthfully (no pun intended), how many Truthers actually witnessed the attacks of 9/11 with "their own eyes"? Very, very few is my guess. Instead, what they saw are the attacks, which were culled selectively by politically-biased persons employing religious-like indoctrination techniques, as a means of explaining human-generated evil vis-Ã-vis the perceived protector's failure.

It could NEVER be that 19 militant Muslims, armed only with box cutters, and inspired by a man in an Afghancave, could have committed such... evil, right? Surely, it must have been something far larger, more sinister, and certainly... twisted. And clearly, the source of such evil was... must have been...Bush/Cheney, right?

However, the Truth "seen" by such witnesses is nothing more than the fancies of their imagination encouraged by puppeteers. And to make these visions even less notable is that the imagination isn't even the Truthers' own but, instead, belongs to the false prophets of the Movement.

"We all most keep up the pressure, as 9/11 represents the greatest crime and betrayal in American history. If they would do that, just what would they stop at?"

Right, right... For argument's sake, let's just say THEY did IT and conclude (most logically, mind you) that if they would do IT, what wouldn't they do? Well, if Bush/Cheney were the motivators behind 9/11, and to date they HAVE gotten away with it, then... ah... why aren't they still in office? I mean, Mr. Hatch DID state rather boldly that, "If they would do that, just what would they stop at?"

Here's an observation and a request directed toward all Truthers" A cupful of sewage in a barrel of wine makes everything sewage. Biases (political and others) are intellectual sewage. You can NEVER achieve balanced or unbiased accounts of the attacks of 9/11 by peddling your alternative cups of sewage. Given that the Movement has ladled multiple cupfuls of sewage during the eight years since 9/11, and absolutely nothing has come of it (other than the continued pollution of the wine barrel), why don't you abandon your biases for the next year and see what comes of that approach?

Who knows, you might actually "learn" something, as opposed to "see" something via a sense that is easily deceived - http://www.michaelbach.de/ot/ .

Back in the saddle again. In accordance with the new guidelines, I've dumped my infant pseudonym and have resumed the annoying name (to some members) of Tom Murphy. I have some catching up to do on the articles but look forward to playing (more...)
