Consider the awful prospect that Herman Cain is telling the truth. That is, as far as Herman Cain's personally concerned.You see, Herman Cain, being a Republican, is beyond the understanding of normal people, referred to derisively by Republicans as "liberals." A normal person would be ashamed to have committed the sexual harassment Cain has been accused of. Not so, Herman Cain.
Is the charge that he stuck his hand up a woman's skirt and tried to grope her genitals true? I'd have to say yes, considering that there was $80,000 worth of truth in the previous charges against him.
Will Herman Cain get away with it? Of course he will. Look at the record of some of his fellow Republicans and their behavior to the women in their lives. Mark Sanford, confessed to adultery and because of that has been chosen by Fox News to expound on Republican values. Newt Gingrich is guilty of atrocious behavior toward the women in his life, adultery, abandonment when they become deathly sick. He's running for president as, what else? A Republican.
Herman Cain has stated unequivocally that he has never sexually harassed anyone. What normal people don't understand about Republican Herman Cain is that he could easily pass a lie detector test when asked if he has ever sexually harassed anyone. According to his own extremely limited understanding of moral behavior, it is impossible for him to do that, whatever it is.
If Herman Cain were hooked up to a lie detector and asked if he has ever sexually harassed anyone, he could answer no and the lie detector would show that he is telling the truth, at the same time he has his hand up the woman's skirt who is operating the detector, groping for her genitals.
That's how convinced Herman Cain is that he can do no wrong, that the normal rules of behavior don't apply to him, being a Republican, as they do to the rest of us normal people.
