The Associated Press reports that George Bush, with the help of Michael Mukasey, promised to rebuild the Justice Department. Well, at least, he's giving us fair warning of his cronyism.
We've seen how Bush has already rebuilt the Justice Department, once, and he's going to complete his conversion of the Justice Department to a Republican subsidiary of the White House by continuing to stuff it with inexperienced, Republican hacks. Now, he promises to do it again.
What would you bet that all of the new people appointed will be, guess what? Republicans. There's no hope.
