I have been disturbed by the continuing degradation of my country's civil and political rights. That said, I was extremely depressed by the content of the once respected PBS 'NEWS HOUR'.It seems that the important things we should be told of today (Dec 26th, Boxing Day for my friends in England) is the value of Military Schools which give a more 'balanced' approach to college placement and provide an avenue to future leadership positions in our government. And 'God forbid' the value we need to view as American citizens of the Bible and it's teachings for our overall governmental attitudes.
Now, I am not the best scholar, nor am I the best educated and composed debater that has come to existence in 'the United(I doubt it) States'. Is there no one concerned over the increasing reach of the military into our personal lives, and is there anyone repulsed by the obvious trend against separation of state and religion, one of the major issues of our founding fathers?
After asking the question, I realize that, yes, there are many of us that see the demise of our current position. Maybe the better question to be asked is how, with all of the tools we have before us, do we amass a current day 'minutemen' to rise to the issues that so badly need offensive confrontation?
I am not only willing, but still very able, to undertake any of the necessary 'adventures' to combat the overall decline of our treasured democracy. Should someone have a suggestion or a direction, I will be happy to entertain the consideration of such.
I would ask anyone reading to understand the sacrifice 'already made' and consider how minimal that seems in today's political climate. We have been overtaken by a dictatorship. Does anyone see the tell tale signs?
