Here's the link: Chuck Herrin's Archives on E-Voting Herrin had to explain his position to a fellow Republican:Actually, this is a guy I've known for almost 15 years, a college buddy and fraternity brother who I have leaned against on many drunken and interesting nights, and is one of the very few people in the world I trust explicitly. I took a few seconds to let what he said sink in, and then I warily replied, "Actually, that's kind of the problem. So far, all the vote fraud analysis that's been done indicates that it benefited us 100% of the time."But that doesn't let the Democrats off the hook either. The real culprit in this story is e-voting. As Herrin says:
I have put together a bunch of links to some very interesting sites and files, mostly dealing with computer security. As a CISSP, CEH, and MCSE, people often ask me both professionally and personally about security. I usually say something like: "The only problem with computer security is thinking that there is some." Of course, I'm only half-joking.Not only is Herrin a Republican, but he derives his livelihood from computer security. Anything he posts that is inaccurate could hurt the reputation upon which his respect in the industry depends. Herrin considers this issue so important, that he has granted permission to anyone to link to and reproduce his writings with regard to e-voting, and encourages people to send them to their representatives, as well as sharing them with their friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers. He believes, as many of us do, that our democracy itself is dependent upon the integrity of our elections. --Mark
