Mostly people in their twenties and teens are being arrested and disappeared. This appears to be the status quo of how the regime targets any demonstrator--even kids.

Homs, one of the towns where the children were arrested and tortured and murdered was one of the places I visited in Syria. -The people were so amiable. -The pictures of the Assad family were everywhere (back in 2005) but Homs was a relaxing place and hoping for a future.

The Assads need pressures from outside as well as inside. -Russia, Lebanon, Jordan, and Iran all have ways to influence the horrible regime for the better.

Sadly, as longs as the Bathists run the place, prayer is the only thing I can suggest immediately. Naturally, supportant any Sryian families in the USA and other countries who are suffering at the horrors from Syria.
