We need to get together at the community level to change the direction that our country is headed into.

::::::::

Obviously Obama and the Democrat Party except for a few progressives in Congress have literally abandoned the American people to pander to corporate interests.

We are told that America is about capitalism, democracy, and individualism. If that is so then why has capitalism turned into monopolism, and why has individualism turned into a zombie like adherence to corporate ideas? One cannot have a democracy under monopolism. We are told that we have these three things, and we don't have one of them. Almost every single individual we "elect" is purchased by big business. Mind you BIG BUSINESS is in the business to destroy any other type of business, and they are in the business to monopolize.

In regards to banking wholly owned by a bunch of filthy rich zombie-like psychopaths have little regard for the American people. Our government is purchased by these immoral souls, and it is our business to help us out. A man in Bangladesh won a Nobel prize for the idea of a "micro-loan". People pool their resources to loan each other money to help get each other off of the corporate teat. If we all did this we could drive these immoral beasts permanently out of business. We have to pool together. We can't be driven apart by corporate misguidance.

Health care will probably not change unless we change it first at the state level. Not every state politician is a purchased item. We need to think about low cost community health care centers, and preventative medicine for our increasingly obese, and increasingly unhealthy population. We need to stand together at the grass roots level toe to toe, and help our people out. Republican, Democrat, Green, Libertarian all need to stop burying our collective heads in the sand.

We need to look around at our communities and see how monopolies have damaged our small towns, medium sized towns, and devastated cities. We need to band together to support local businesses, local farms, and take care of our local people in need. Big banks have brought down our whole economy. Don't put your money there. Don't buy stocks in them. Monopolies like Walmart have driven local businesses out, and driven wages down. Shop at mom and pop shops. Big Food has made people fat. McDonald's, KFC, etc has damaged the health of American people. Eat at local shops. Their food and service is usually better.

We the people need to learn to think for ourselves, stand for each other to protect small businesses (real capitalism), and protect our democracy from monopolism. No one will lead us. No one will take care of us. We have to break out of our shell to do it together.

I enjoy writing about political/ economic events, and I am especially concerned about the US as a warlike nation. I would like to see this nation turn itself around from a conquering nation in both commerce and war to a nation of peace. I hope that (more...)
