"Go Green !" a friend says. I've heard Cobb a few times, here on the web. That was last year, maybe two years ago and I liked what I heard. Maybe I'm not being critical enough. I'm sure there's a long list of reasons why we shouldn't be looking into joining or supporting the greens, right ? After all, they only get...what, less than one per cent of the votes, at best. No changing a country that way. One in a hundred. Pitiful. But what if that could be made to jump to five, six or even eight per cent ? Could we, would we take them serious then ?
I planted some hops last year. Nothing spectacular. Just one plant and a tiny one at that. It took it a while but then it reached the roof and started climbing up and up as high as it could. It must have reached twelve feet or so before winter came along and put a stop to the madness. I cut it at about ten inches above the ground and removed all the dead vines and would ya guess...it came shooting back this spring at almost twice the speed from last year, its first year and now it's back up there looking for a grip so it can take over this little house.
Did I say house ? Takeover ? Sorry, The radical in me again.
Green just doesn't excite me for some reason. I'll have to look into the Reds.
