The Republican quest for free market deregulation and reduction of government oversight has now come home to roost. It appears, baring Martial Law, that the Grand Old Party is toast. The profit and greed motive when let loose without restraints has now shown itself for what it is. A system that is completely unable to do anything but enrich itself to the detriment of others.
Free Market self-regulation the Big Joke on us, has now finally played out. Whose to blame for the mortgage crisis? The poor credit homeless or the money changers? Would a corporation protect your water on it's own, hell no. We are wise to the ways of the unholy corporation now.
Thank heaven that somehow we avoided George Bush's other initiatives such as privatizing social security and allowing us to invest our retirements in the stock market. If we had swallowed that transfer of middle class wealth to wall street we would all be toast right now. Now with economic collapse well underway the failures of GOP economics and Grover Norquist is exposed for all to see, and the hypocrisy of their stances laid bare, as Bush moves to expand government further by buying bad debt stock and shaky home mortgages.
