If we believed all the brutal, frat-boy threats coming out of the White House, we would be dead before Sunday. It is pure and savage terrorism reminiscent of Nazi Germany." - Hunter S. Thompson

DIANE'S NEWS CLIPS begins here :)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~> Submitted by: .ron corvuswire@verizon.net "GEORGE BUSH IS CRAZY, YEAH WHAT ELSE IS NEW!" THE AMERICAN PATHOCRACY REVISITED ... By Ernest Stewart "I would understand if Israel chose to attack Iran." --- George W. Bush "This blizzard of mind-warping war propaganda out of Washington is building up steam. Monday is Anthrax, Tuesday is Bankruptcy, Friday is Child-Rape, Thursday is Bomb-scares, etc., etc., etc.... If we believed all the brutal, frat-boy threats coming out of the White House, we would be dead before Sunday. It is pure and savage terrorism reminiscent of Nazi Germany." - Hunter S. Thompson George Bush is crazy, yeah I know, what else is new! I'm beginning to have a deja vu all over again, again! You too? We've seen this all before in the run up to the Iraq war. The difference this time is that most of the original architects of "Operation Secure the Pipeline" in Afghanistan and operations "Save Papa's Face and "Steal the Oil" in Iraq have abandoned the good ship SS Bush like the rats that they are, and are busy trying to find a rock to hide under. Just like in Desert Shield there is a build up of our troops, while we've been standing down and letting the Iraqi army stand by and watch the sectarian slaughter, as a full blown Civil War begins to embroil Iraq. We're sending the last of our ready reserves in to the tune of 20,000 more American boys and girls into the quagmire. Meanwhile our troops in Afghanistan are standing down as our NATO allies commence their job of bombing Afghanistan back from the Bronze to the Stone Age. By the time the troops are in place and just before the new class of criminals we've just elected comes to Foggy Bottom, we or Israel will attack Iran. Iran, in return, will go absolutely berserk and bomb and rocket Israel and all the oil fields around them as well as sinking several supertankers in the Straights of Hormuz. As we've heard time and time again from the Demoncrats they won't defund the war when they take power, nor will they impeach the chimp. Even though Bush is no doubt guilty of treason, sedition, crimes against humanity, war crimes, crimes against the US Constitution and Bill of Rights, theft of trillions, torture and concentration camps; just to name of few of his impeachable crimes. However, apparently these aren't either a "High Crime" or even a "Misdemeanor" in the eyes of the Demoncrats as compared to Clinton getting a blow job. So even before the Dems take office, Bush the lame duck is assured of full speed ahead in his plans to mass murder the Iranians and even more American boys and girls. Hooray, eh? Those of you who bought the Demoncrats vows to end the war and impeach Bush & Cheney are now in for a very rude and necessary awakening. The Dems have bent back over and pulled their pants down much to the glee of the few remaining Rethuglicans and their corpo-rat masters, their plans for world domination are intact. No, it's business as usual in Foggy Bottom, the faces may change but the crimes go on and on and on! Dems that before the election were calling for Bush's head on a stake are now saying, "Can't we all just get along?".....snip.... http://www.corvuswire.com/erneststewart.htm ----- IF LINK DOESN'T WORK, THEN PASTE ARTICLE LINK(S) INTO YOUR BROWSER -- OR GO DIRECTLY TO >> http://www.truthout.org Ray McGovern | Robert Gates Is Rumsfeld Lite; Hadley - Just Lite http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/120106N.shtml Ray McGovern writes: "Press reporting on information provided to the Senate by Robert Gates, President George W. Bush's nominee for defense secretary, shows Gates hewing closely to the rhetoric of his predecessor. Gates is shown to be more parrot than innovator in his responses to a questionnaire given him by the Senate Armed Services Committee, which takes up his nomination on December 5." ----- Agents Rank American Travelers for Threat http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/120106K.shtml Without notifying the public, federal agents for the past four years have assigned millions of international travelers, including Americans, computer-generated scores rating the risk they pose of being terrorists or criminals. ----- FOCUS | Security of Electronic Voting Is Condemned by Federal Agency http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/120106Z.shtml Paperless electronic voting machines used throughout the Washington region and much of the country "cannot be made secure," according to draft recommendations issued this week by a federal agency that advises the US Election Assistance Commission. The assessment by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, one of the government's premier research centers, is the most sweeping condemnation of such voting systems by a federal agency. ----- Halliburton Unit to Pay $8 Million for Overbilling http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/120106A.shtml ----- Reyes to Chair Intelligence Panel http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/120106B.shtml ----- The New York Times | A Crack in the Stone Wall http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/120106C.shtml [snip] ... Gore's Movie http://www.truthout.org/issues_06/120106EB.shtml In light of yesterday's oral arguments to get the Supreme Court to force the federal government to classify C02 emissions as pollutants and therefore subject to regulation, Alexandra Walker writes, "As bizarre as the Bush administration's aversion to recognizing the causes of global warming seems today, imagine how it will seem to people decades from now, who will be reeling from its effects." ----- As Pensions and Health Care Benefits Shrink, Life Gets Riskier http://www.truthout.org/issues_06/120106HA.shtml _________________________________ Submitted by: .ron corvuswire@verizon.net Internet2: A DISGUISED GLOBAL CENSORSHIP PROJECT ? http://wikicompany.org/blog/?p=16 Library2 evangelist Michael Casey >> http://tametheweb.com/2006/11/internet_2_and_web_20.html seems to be unaware of the evil lurking within the Internet2 project. Finkelstein Even by the grim standards of Gaza, the past five months have been cruel ones. Some four hundred Palestinians, mostly unarmed civilians, have been killed during Israeli attacks. (Four Israeli soldiers and two civilians have been killed.) Israel has sealed off Gaza from the outside world while the international community has imposed brutal sanctions, ravaging Gaza's already impoverished economy. "Gaza is dying," Patrick Cockburn reported in CounterPunch, "its people are on the edge of starvation.A whole society is being destroyed. The sound that Palestinians most dread is an unknown voice on their cell phone saying they have half an hour to leave their home before it is hit by bombs or missiles. There is no appeal." "Gaza is in its worst condition ever," Gideon Levy wrote in Haaretz, "The Israeli army has been rampaging through Gaza--there's no other word to describe it--killing and demolishing, bombing and shelling indiscriminately....This is disgraceful and shocking collective punishment." Predictably Gaza teetered on the precipice of fratricidal civil war. "The experiment was a success: The Palestinians are killing each other," Amira Hass wryly observed in Ha'aretz, "They are behaving as expected at the end of the extended experiment called 'what happens when you imprison 1.3 million human beings in an enclosed space like battery hens.'" It is at times like this that we expect human rights organizations to speak out. How has Human Rights Watch responded to the challenge? It criticized Israel for destroying Gaza's only electrical plant, and also called on Israel to "investigate" why its forces were targeting Palestinian medical personnel in Gaza and to "investigate" the Beit Hanoun massacre. Jeff Motive and Precedent in the Gemayel Assassination by Muhammad Idrees Ahmad In the aftermath of Pierre Gemayel's assassination the Guardian raises a key question: "cui bono" (who benefits)? The paper's answer is typical of the mainstream media response to the event which remains confined in its scope to the usual suspects. Analysis: High bar set in AIPAC case ... By Shaun Waterman UPI Homeland and National Security Editor The government has been set a high bar for conviction in the AIPAC secrets case -- prosecutors must show the two lobbyists charged under espionage laws knew that the disclosure of the material they allegedly passed to reporters and Israeli officials would hurt the United States. The defendants, Steven Rosen and Keith Weissman, lobbyists for the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee, or AIPAC, are charged with conspiring with Department of Defense intelligence analyst Larry Franklin to leak U.S. secrets in an apparent effort to influence U.S. policy towards Iran.
