If you can believe it, the recent g-8 summit last weekend in Tokyo produced sanctions on the U.S. which went into effect yesterday. Included are an OPEC oil embargo, and the restrictions on any US commercial OR military flight to land in any of the G-8 countries, which includes Japan, Germany, Russia, France and England. The world court has, according to World Reports editor Story, also issued contempt citations against the US Supreme court, and is issuing arrest warrants for President Bush, Dick Cheney, his cabinet and even Congress! Tried to verify this on the World court website, but could not. Also tried to see if I could purchase a ticket to land Thursday in London or Tokyo to see whether airlines seem to be affected yet, and was able to see available tickets (not that I bought one), so I'm pretty sure the story (by Story) is NOT true.
