If you have the misfortune of stumbling upon Fox News anchor Greg Gutfeld's blog, predictably entitled, "The Daily Gut," you'll see that the former Maxim editor and current host of FOX's late-night news comedy "Red Eye" has compiled a list of all the horrendous reviews he has has received. An attempt at simultaneously alleviating the program's lackluster reception while harvesting some free, witty content, the reviews make one thing apparent; people loathe Greg Gutfeld!
And why shouldn't they?
All Gutfeld does is make absurd and bigoted comments every night, in the hopes of catering to FOX viewers who love to have a few chuckles after work at the misfortune of others. In an October 17th episode, Gutfeld turned his vile and pernicious commentary towards the disabled.
In the video of the segment, entitled "Should We Give Whores to the Handicapped," Gutfeld and his cronies report on a recent program in the Netherlands that connects physically disabled individuals with prostitutes. The issue, on its face, might be worthy of dialogue, but Gutfeld's spin was much more directed towards getting a few laughs at the stake of those less fortunate then inciting conversation.
During the segment, Gutfeld expresses consternation that the concept might lead to other groups getting subsidized prostitution as well. "If the handicapped get to have prostitutes because they can't pick up girls, what about really ugly people or really fat people who face similar challenges, shouldn't they be allowed the same allowances," he says.
Toss in a couple of jokes about the Special Olympics and amputees, and Gutfeld has just composed another openly discriminatory FOX segment for the archives. If you're disgusted and frustrated, then feel free to email FOX news at comments@foxnews.com, although don't expect their executives to do much except laugh gleefully at your discontent.
You could also go to Mr. Gutfeld's site, stoop to his level, and write an extremely mean personal comment about the fact that he continues to gain weight. Realistically, this might be a more appropriate response. I've heard it's quite gratifying as well.
