The A-10 WartHog is a sub-sonic aircraft built around a 20 ft long, 7 barrel Gatling gun that fires 3,900 depleted, natural, or low enriched uranium rounds a minute. About half a ton of high density uranium.

The uranium rounds are on fire when they leave the barrel. The Uranium burns at a majestic 5000 Deg C, give or take. It is hard to measure.
The burned uranium smoke is ceramicized and impervious to dissolution by water or "bodily fluids" as the saying goes.

nanometer sized, electrically charged, radioactive particles.
The uranium smoke particles the now radioactive aircraft is diving through hang on with all the vengeance of 100 Million electron volts of Force.
Each tiny particle can enter a human, animal, or plant body through openings like the mouth and ears or just float through clothes and layers of skin for the surety of an agonizing death from radiation poisoning.
