NEWS FLASH:
On the Louisiana Gulf Coast, a Vigilant Citizens Group has Apprehended four
BP-hired mercenaries, contracted employees of the "Pe" corporation
(formerly called "Brownwater", notorious for their reported multiple murders
of innocent Iraqi civilians), who were caught red-handed illegally dumping
Corexit Dispersant in inland coastal waters; and Charged them with several very
serious Crimes regarding polluting the environment, and risking the health and
safety of residents.
Two days ago, these hired thugs were apprehended 1.5 miles out at sea near the mouth of the Bay, by a group of Citizens who were tired of being continually illegally poisoned by these deadly dispersants, which they knew were still being dumped by boat, and sprayed by military transport aircraft with no running lights, close INSHORE despite the State and Federal governments' blatantly false claims that the dispersant use had stopped back in July; and that it was "never" being used close to shore in the first place.
The Citizens Group had staked out the area, and had witnessed this "midnight dumping" of Dispersant previously, and had reported these events to Federal Authorities who completely ignored them, despite the clear linking of these secret "dispersing" missions reportedly done with the help of the U.S. Coast Guard, who apparently vectored the mercenaries on to suddenly-appearing oil slicks... And that these previous dispersant "missions" were positively linked to several major fish and bird "kill-offs" in the area (that the State and Federal governments then falsely claimed were from other sources). And so, two nights ago the Citizens laid in wait and apprehended the offending boat before they could dump all of the 500-gallon tank of dispersant... Catching them with many witnesses and on camera completely red-handed dumping this highly toxic poison into the water; perpetrating a dangerous Crime that breaks many State and Federal statutes.
These mercenaries were boarded by a large number of Citizens (suddenly overwhelming them with numbers and brilliant spot lights from several directions with over a dozen shrimping, fishing, and pleasure boats hemming them in), allowing the Suspects' boat to be boarded and secured peacefully without any violence at all. They were then taken to shore and handed over to the local Sheriff's office who formally charged them, and who have so far refused the U.S. Federal government's order to Release these employees, stating that until they are video-taped later today giving their Depositions, and are Arraigned for their Trial; that the Federal or State government does not have the Authority to demand the release of these people. The captured mercenaries had produced Identification Cards, claiming they were "Officers of Homeland Security"... Which the Sheriff simply ignored, stating:
"It does not matter if a particular government agency sanctions crime, it is still Crime... No one is Above The Law; and this is clearly not a matter of National Security. These people will be Tried for these crimes, which they were witnessed by many doing red-handed... It's all up to the Judge now; but I can state after viewing all the evidence, talking to the witnesses that included reporters on the scene, and viewing the video tapes; that our local Citizens acted properly within their Right of Citizens' Arrest, to peacefully and non-violently stop a dangerous crime. People have an inherent right not to be poisoned: And if their State and Federal governments allow it to happen, then these Citizens have the right and duty to stop it themselves."
He then went on to say:
"The Federal government is hopping mad at us and making all manner of threats, and we expect to be arrested by them soon, both the Citizens Group and myself for refusing their demands. But, we have many cameras and media here, to witness the arrests, who have already reported on the mercenaries being caught red-handed... Including many reporters of the International Press whom we invited; and who have sent in stories that are now being read all over the world on this event. It's way too late to keep this quiet now.
"It is important for everyone to remember, that if the only people ever sent to prison in this whole mess, are the ones trying to tell the truth and to stop BP from poisoning millions of residents, then this Nation is no longer Ruled By Law: It is an Organized Criminal Enterprise ruled by CRIMINALS... So; when the time comes, we will all peacefully submit to Arrest, and trust to a public and highly publicized Trial with a Jury of Peers. At no time was anyone overtly threatened or endangered during the Citizens' Arrests, and so it will remain when the Federal agents come to arrest us all, completely peaceful and non-violent: But with us all also formally filing Complaints against these arrests... as is the Right of every American Citizen.
"By the way, some folks have already arranged to have a large Defense Fund to get good experienced criminal lawyers and insure the truth comes out Publicly, in Federal Court; to take this all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States if necessary. And, we already have several former BP employees who are willing to Testify on our behalf, to show that this entire mess is indeed a criminal act perpetrated on the people of our coast, who were apparently written-off as sacrifices to save BP money and future wider legal liability; with the Federal and State governments' approval, and even their direct help at times. The only question that remains to be seen, is if this government collusion is Gross Negligence and severe incompetence.... or blatant Corruption."
The people of the Civilian group that made the arrests are now all waiting, along with the perpetrators they arrested, at the Sheriff Department headquarters building. It is now being besieged with reporters, as the mainstream media has now even been forced by the firestorm of "Viral" Internet and International reporting on these events, to finally cover it themselves; or possibly appear completely corrupt and "owned".
The Citizens Group are now giving interviews, and talking to as many reporters as possible; while they wait for a large Federal Task Force to come and arrest all present at the Citizens' Arrest event for Federal charges of "Kidnapping" among others; and to also apparently release the previously-arrested "Pe"employees.
The Jury Trials of both of these groups of people (the Citizens probably being Tried at the New Orleans District Court, and the "Pe" employees tried at the local Country court, if they ever appear after being freed by the Federal authorities), will be the "News Story of the Century"; and many of the Citizens predict that it will do more good for the plight of area residents than anything else could: Because before this event, the national mainstream media refused to report, or even mention, the great health risks and widespread illnesses that the area residents were experiencing that were directly related to the poisons from the dispersant (despite their local TV Affiliates occasionally reporting on these events). Also, the great amount of media attention will also presumably cause the Elected Politicians to become involved, which so far during this entire BP Gulf Disaster, nearly all have remained completely silent.
One of the leaders of the Citizens' Group who caught the perpetrators said this today in an interview:
"We did only what we had to do. The government, the media, and even EVERY SINGLE ONE of our State and Federal elected officials, and even the ones running against them in the upcoming election, refused to help us at all. They ALL looked the other way, while many of us and our family became ill from the poisons being dumped on us.
"This is not the America I was raised in, I cannot believe that these BP executives have this much power... Power to poison millions of people, and get away with it scott free. We cannot let this happen without DOING SOMETHING. If we all look the other way, the next time it will be worse for all of us. Criminals cannot be allowed to prosper, to kill... that is the deepest tenet of Society that stops us from being savages, and keeps us from being a totalitarian nightmare. We did what our conscience told us was the only right thing to do for both our friends and family, and for all of America... if they want to put us in Prison for that, then they had better put some of the real Criminals in prison too; because we know there are tens of millions of us who are not going to put up with that. If this stops the poisoning of our people, then it is worth it. Sometimes there are just no good choices; this was one of them."
But it appears likely, that these Citizens may not be put on Trial after-all: The new and very large media attention this event created, is making hundreds of millions of people around the world aware of this situation. The government has been put into a very tricky position, and already today, there have been two Congresspeople calling for new independent Congressional investigations, with strong Subpoena powers, of the U.S. Government's Response to the BP Gulf Disaster. Should these Hearings eventually happen, it is clear that the illegal and immoral use of incredibly large amounts of dispersants, several million gallons of it, that put millions of residents at severe health risk, will finally come out into the Public Realm; and the many lies, cover-ups, and deliberate suppressions regarding this will become widely known... probably culminating in the firing in disgrace for "incompetence", or possibly even imprisonment, of several Federal and State bureaucrats on charges of Graft, Collusion, and Corruption.
At any rate, it is clear that if these Citizens are charged, they will not be alone. The world is watching now, and BP's stock has already dropped 20 points in one day, and experts expect it to drop much more. Many who are reporting on this event world-wide, are also mentioning several viable, safe, clean, and renewable Energy Technologies that are available... Using the media coverage to get these mostly "unknown" technologies publicized widely for the first time, giving billions of people around the Planet hope that there are indeed alternatives for oil available right now, and have been for years despite them being never mentioned in the national mainstream media before.
Perhaps this will be the longest-lasting result of this event... When the oil corporation's power and prestige is severely damaged; then the alternatives it has worked to suppress for years are finally brought into Greater Public Awareness... And we can look forward to the End of Oil and Coal as the fuels of choice on this planet... Making sure by "ever-shrinking demand", that nothing like the BP Gulf Disaster ever happens again... no matter how many billions in campaign contributions and public relation TV ads they spend.
