Seeing as it's Change he's bringing, this is what the ancient Chinnese Oracle, the "Book of Changes" says about him...a very positive view, I'd say!

::::::::

What a wonderful day for America, and the world!
Obama's acceptance speech was Amazing, and he said all the right things simply, eloquently and genuinely.

I threw an I-Ching after his swearing in and speech, and the Oracle gave me "Fellowship with Men".
_____  (x)
_____
_____
_____
__  __
_____
_____

"Clarity within and strength without..the character of a peaceful union of Men, which, in order to hold together
needs one yielding nature among many firm persons."

"Fellowship with Men in the Open.
Success.
It furthers one to cross the Great Water (achievements and change)
The perseverence of the Superior Man furthers."

"True fellowship among men must be based on concerns that are universal.
It is not the private interests of the individual that create lasting fellowship, but rather the goals of Humanity.
That is why "In the Open" succeeds. If unity of this kind prevails, even difficult and dangerous tasks such as "crossing the great water" can be accomplished.
But in order to bring this about a perservering and enlightened LEADER is needed -a man with clear, convincing and inspiring aims and the strength to carry them out."

His "changing" line at the top is
"Fellowship with men in the meadow
No remorse"
The meadow is the pasture at the entrance to the town.
(referring, perhaps, to his early cabinet picks)
At this stage, the ultimate goal of the union of mankind is not yet been attained,
but we need not reproach ourselves.
We join the community without separate aims of our own."
(WOW! Did you see the CROWD!?  And they weren't Protesting!
THAT is how a president should enter office, not through the back door amid protest, as I saw Bush/Cheney do in '01!)

The hexagram now is redrawn to "change"  to :

Revolution! (molting, or CHANGE!)
__  __
_____
_____
_____
__  __
_____

The Chinese character for this means the "pelt", change by Molting, as in
the great revolutions connected with changes of governments and great social transformations.

"Revolution. On your own day
you are believed (!)
Supreme success,
furthering through perseverence.
Remorse disappears."

"Political revolutions are extremely grave matters. They should be undertaken only under stress of direst necessity.
Not everyone is called to this task, but only the man who has the confidence of the people, and even he only when the time is ripe.
He must then proceed in the right way, so that he gladdens the hearts of the People and, by enlightening them, prevents excesses.
Furthermore, he must be free of selfish aims and must really relieve the need of the People.
Only then does he have nothing to regret."

Reading through the hexagram I also see
"Remorse disappears. Men believe him.
Changing the form of government brings good fortune."
(You mean, we're going to have a REAL Democracy!?)

 and it speaks of
"The Great Man changes like a Tiger.
Even before he questions the Oracle he is believed"
(This jives with the first hexagram I got for Obama: Possession in Great Measure)

"A tigerskin is highly visable and its bold stripes show a distinct pattern from afar.
It is the same with a revolution brought about by a great man; Large, clear guidelines become visable and understandable to everyone, winning spontaneous support from the People."

Perhaps the last line refers to some of his questionable appointees that have worried us so:

"The superior man molts like a panther.
The inferior man molts in the face.
To remain persevering brings good fortune."

"After the large and fundamental problems are settled, certain minor reforms are necessary. These detailed reforms can be likened to the equally distinct but relatively small marks of the panther's coat.
As a consequence a change also takes place among inferior persons.  In conformity with the new order they also "Molt".
This molting, it is true, does not go very deep, but that is not to be expected. We must be satisfied with the attainable, and not go so far as to lead to unrest and misfortune.
For the object of a great revolution is the attainment of clarified, secure conditions ensuring a general stabilization on the
basis of what is possible at the moment."

Confucious, who wrote footnotes to this ancient oracle for kings and rulers, says of the line that described Obama in the previous reading just after his election
"To bless means to help. Heaven helps the man who is devoted;
Men help the man who is true. He who walks in truth and is devoted in his thinking, and furthermore reveres the worthy, is blessed by heaven. He has good fortune and there is nothing that would not further."
