This is an extension of a letter to the editor on global warming at Salon.com in which some credit science with uncovering and believe that they will yet be our saviors from its effects such as Fatal Events a euphemism which the legalized drug company PR people use to soft-soap side-effects which are often more toxic than that which they purport to treat with their offthestreet, toxic, drug dealing, on public media.
Science? The guys who gave us the Atomic bomb, petroleum distillates, toxic scented candles that every woman can't seem to live without even though the benzene, naphthalene and Vasoconstrictors are giving them cancer along with the herbicides their significant others use on their lawns, flowerbeds, and their insistence on mosquito spraying which will give 90% of them cancer, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's while the chances of catching a serious ailment from mosquitoes which will kill them is a 31 million to 1, long shot?
That Science which created drugs for cancer, which kill, people, but slower? The science that created solvents that dissolve the mind and kill babies in the womb, while treating diseases, they invented and caused?
You see I won a Ford Foundation Fellowship in Undergraduate school and a full lecture Graduate Assistantship. I was a "child Prodigy" and science was my gig-I scored 278 points on a science project at age 10, still a record and then I watched my mentors sell out to industry pretending heedlessness at the damage they'd caused to make money as consultants and so I changed fields. Is that the science you mean?
Oh, I am certain there is global warning, but everyone against it accepts advertising from the very people that are causing it and buys all their earth destroying products. Do you favor making humans into neurotic, hypochondriacally fools over TV ads for Legalized Drug addictive commercials? Do you claim to be a supporter of the culture of life, in favor of mercy toward house invading mice, an animal rights advocate, who wants to save the speckled head louse or dog flea, but is against capital punishment, torture, dog and cock-fighting, abusing cattle and other animals, boxing, preemptive war, the recent mass-murder of 1.5 million Iraqi's and Americans and euthanasia and yet supports abortion? Hypocrite! Hypocrite! Hypocrite! Approving murder of the helpless. Oh, and don't hide behind the illogical, shiftless excuse about the soul not yet inhabiting the fetus, or the fetus being a tumor, if so it is the only beneficial one on record. I don't care if the fetus does or does not have a soul. I don't care if it is or is not yet a creature, IT IS a potential creature, it will be born and live, and killing it is a Bushite action, sadistic, masochistic.
There is global warming, but I would not trust science to heal it. It is simply the planet trying to throw off its worst nightmare in 4.5 billion years, Homo sapiens. However, don't try to convince Chicagoans this year about global warming. Better, wait until mid-July for that argument.
