Dumber than Sarah Palin? or
Get Thee Behind Satan!
At the risk of a stampede of rotten vegetables thrown at this brief blog, my message is simple.
From the headlines on this page most lately, with all due respect to ideals and dreams we all worship, myself included, I must say that we couldn't be making Mitch McConnell and his chums happier with this Obama bashing, even if we donated George Soros's entire fortune to the GOP.
The Tea Party metaphor was used in response to the fraudulent results of the 2004 election by the left wing. Who's got it now? The original Tea Party protest was a left-wing initiative too.
We campaigned the hardest for Obama and celebrated most heartily when he won.
But whose votes elected him? A historic landslide. Whom did that include? Lots of people bummed out with the economy, many of whom don't agree with us on anything else.
I recommend supporting all presidential efforts toward health-care reform. I'm doing that. Because God knows when the chance will come again. Insurance rates are skyrocketing, presumably in response to the assumption that our health-care system is not going to budge from what it is.
Let's hope that Secretary Sebelius's objections have some impact on this horror show.
