There has been alot of interesting news around . Most important I think was the Winograd Commission report on the 34 day war Israel waged against Lebanon. The zionists played a very dirty game bombing residential areas in South for weeks and killing 1200 most of them civilians, but according to this report they lost. Hebollah played a clean game , only 200 Israelis were killed most of them military, they won the hearts and minds of the global public opinion. The report says the campaign against Hebollah was a large and serious failure. At least they are objective.
But will the American public wake up to this tragic reality?
Another interesting development is the recent EU resolution against Iran. It voices concern about Iran's uranium enrichment program which the American NIE report has acknowledged its peacful content. Human rights abuses in Iran are also condemned in the EU action. Ironically , on the same day, Pakistan tests a ballistic missle with the capacity to carry one of the countrys nuclear warheads.
Pakistan has a horendoous record of human rights abuses and is now led by a dictator who only recently relinquished his military dress. But as long as she is a US ally , no resolution, no sanction, no condemnation.
Double standards are ruining our world.
