Do you believe in the value of tough talking progressive media-- the value of a site that supports activism and activists, that brings coverage of news and perspectives that even make Democrats uncomfortable? Naomi Klein, Greg Palast, Paul Craig Roberts endorsements included. That's what Opednews.com does EVERY single day.

Tuesday update: We're about $850 behind for the month. That's further behind than yesterday. We really, really need your help to make budget this month.

Here's what Naomi Klein, author of Shock Doctrine, had to say about Opednews.com:

I think you guys are fantastic and yeah, I read you all the time. And I apreciate the non-partisan nature of it. It's going to be more and more important to have real, critical alternative voices that aren't lined up behind a candidate.

Opednews goes to where the action is (photo by rob kall, taken at Occupy Philly, at about 3:00 AM, on the day the Philly Police shut it down.

Here's what Greg Palast said this week:
"Opednews is where you get the real thing. It's not just progressive opinion. It's the hard, cold truth, the real facts. If you don't listen to Bob Kall, if you don't read Opednews, then you don't know what the hell is happening in American you don't know what's happening to you. This is our weapon of mass instruction. Read it top to bottom or you just don't know what's going on. "

Greg Palast , NY Times bestselling author of Billionaires and Ballot Bandits. Investigative reporter for BBC, Rolling Stone, Guardian

And, a few weeks ago, on 9/11/12 I asked Paul Craig Roberts, What do you think about OpEdNews? He replied.

Well, I think that it's a remarkable a site that's associated with liberal, progressive" permits a wide range of opinion. And therefore I think that i it does what the media's suppose to do. It's supposed to offer a forum for all views. And it's supposed to report what's actually going on. And to investigate what's actually going on. And it's not supposed to say, "oh no, we can't talk about that', for example. Or we can't talk about Bush lying about "weapons of mass destruction'. "Oh no, we don't do that!' Or, "we can't talk about 9/11!'. Or "we can't" 'or" Those kinds of things" destroy the ability of people to know if things can't be talked about. So I think that your site is good and is to be commended because it introduces a wide range of views. It's not an ideologically determined site. And it's not determined by a corporate interest. So, more power to you!

We're a platform where the bravest progressive voices get a hearing. Today, we have an article by a homeless young man. We have the latest thinking from Cynthia McKinney, coverage of the debate, with very different perspectives. We routinely cover the activists as they engage in life or freedom threatening actions.

We do all this on a shoestring budget that is a tiny fraction of any other major progressive media site. And we're way behind this month. We need to see donations come in right away or things will start looking really bad.

We know why this is happening this month. We know you are getting hit from all sides with requests for donations. So it's necessary that this be written, to remind you to help Opednews.com. After the candidates go to Capitol Hill and start serving the corporatists-- we'll still be there, if you help keep us alive-- putting the pressure on them, exposing their betrayal of the American dream.

So please, make Opednews a priority. Make a donation to Opednews.com or sign up as a paying premium member.

Rob Kall has spent his adult life as an awakener and empowerer-- first in the field of biofeedback, inventing products, developing software and a music recording label, MuPsych, within the company he founded in 1978-- Futurehealth, and founding, organizing and running 3 conferences: Winter Brain, on Neurofeedback and consciousness, Optimal Functioning and Positive Psychology (a pioneer in the field of Positive Psychology, first presenting workshops on it in 1985) and Storycon Summit Meeting on the Art Science and Application of Story-- each the first of their kind.  Then, when he found the process of raising people's consciousness and empowering them to take more control of their lives  one person at a time was too slow, he founded Opednews.com-- which has been the top search result on Google for the terms liberal news and progressive opinion for several years. Rob began his Bottom-up Radio show, broadcast on WNJC 1360 AM to Metro Philly, also available on iTunes, covering the transition of our culture, business and world from predominantly Top-down (hierarchical, centralized, authoritarian, patriarchal, big)  to bottom-up (egalitarian, local, interdependent, grassroots, archetypal feminine and small.) Recent long-term projects include a book, Bottom-up-- The Connection Revolution, debillionairizing the planet and the Psychopathy Defense and Optimization Project.
