The people of this nation have been pushed into a corner by not only republican’s failed policies and oil wars but also by corporate greed. What happens when people are pushed into a corner? They come out fighting. History has proven this over and over but still wealthy elitist with lofty dreams of fortune and power have not learned.
Millions of Americans have to watch loved ones suffer in agony and die because they don’t have healthcare. Yet, a wealthy person can afford the best of medicines and medical procedures to save their life. It’s not fair that wealth determines if you will live or not. It seems we are a nation that have let the insurance companies put a price tag on the value of human life, with healthcare being sold to the highest bidder. Jane Doe living in the boondocks should get the same treatment that is available to Magic Johnson for her HIV. The unjust healthcare system alone should be enough to make people want to stand up and say enough is enough.
Every year we keep electing do-nothing, say-nothing politicians to congress and the senate who vow to stand up for us, speak up for our causes yet none, not one have been able to turn around the corrupt healthcare system we have. This year it is imperative that we make a stand and vote as many of these know-nothing politicians out as we can.
As people cast their vote on November 4th they are voting for more than just Obama and McCain they are voting for their life, the life of their loved ones who are sick and need healthcare, they are voting for their jobs as it is predicted that we will experience a considerable job loss in this nation within the next couple of months which means even more people who will not have adequate healthcare coverage. It’s a shame that we have to equate the value of life with the ballot and a political party.
