OpEdNews - Diary: Disgusted With the Dems?

If you are disgusted with the Democrats... Join the club. But don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. 140 members of congress opposed the funding vote and about 15 senators did. They're keepers. The rest--- let's talk about ways of increasing the numbers on future votes to come. That will mean replacing some incumbents-- including democrats-- and scaring the hell out of some of the other democrats who betrayed their constituents. We're going to be covering the who what how when and where in the coming months. And you can play a role in shaping the strategy. We're a community here at OpEdNews and we are getting more organized, more powerful and more influential as we grow. Between subscribers and members, there are almost 20,000 OpEdNews folk. It won't be long before we look at that number as tiny. And with our growth will come increased influence in Washington. Take a step to be a part of it. If you're a reader, sign up as a subscriber. There's no nice way to paint this. We are near the end of the month and $2500 behind in fundraising. Yesterday was bad for America, but it was a clarifying moment for progressives. We can't rest on our laurels and depend upon the elected democrats.
