Roles/Responsibilities
A paralegal is needed to provide assistance for all aspects of litigation case management for an in-house legal team. We are looking for a talented, self-motivated individual who enjoys being busy and working in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be extremely organized, possess excellent communication and research skill, and demonstrate the ability to manage projects.
Prepare miscellaneous legal documents and correspondence
Maintain document files
Gather and analyze data / investigate facts
Collaborate with inside and outside counsel
Work directly with experts, consultants and witnesses regarding case and prepare them for trial
Collect physical / electronic data and/or records
Correspond with clients regarding case status
Work Experience/Skills & Education REQUIRED
3+ years' work experience in a law firm or corporate litigation environment
Candidate must possess a strong work ethic, high level of personal integrity, compliance and confidentiality
Experience with process improvement, proactively streamlining procedures and reporting
Excellent communication skills including writing, proofreading and phone etiquette
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word / strong familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint
Detail-oriented individual with strong reading comprehension skills and a dedication to accuracy and thoroughness
Self-directed and able to work independently
Strong organization and project management skills
Sense of urgency which drives results
Intellectual curiosity and ability to learn quickly
High School diploma
Work Experience / Skills & Education PREFERRED
Familiarity with Concordance / Summation / or other electronic review tools/databases
Experience with Westlaw or similar research tool
Experience with electronic discovery collection, management and production
Physical Demands / Unusual Working Conditions
Some lifting may be required - up to 40 lbs.
Some overtime may be required
