OpEdNews - Diary: Did Carl Rove Out GOP Rep. Foley to Distract From Woodward's Bombshell Book on Bush?

Just coincidence that the Congressman Foley pedophile sex scandal red meat was thrown to the press the same weekend of Woodward's book release that spotlights so many ugly truths about Bush and his Administration. Just coincidence that such a distracting sex scandal news story broke just hours after a House Government Reform Committee report documents at least 82 contacts between Karl Rove's office and Jack Abramoff's lobbying team. The Committee describes at least ten "direct contacts" between Abramoff and Rove, seven of which were instances of lobbying. Just coincidence? I don't think so...

On Friday, Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL) resigned from Congress, after ABC News published inappropriate emails and sexually explicit instant messages that Foley sent to underage boys.

It's become clear that GOP Congressional and Party leadership "knew for years about Representative Mark Foley's activities with teenage Pages. In 2001 Republican staff members were warning Pages about Foley. It is clear, then, that Rove knew about Foley too.

I would like to know who gave the Foley emails to ABC News. I would like to know how and why the Foley news "just happened" to break the Friday before Woodward's Monday book launch.

Things must be really really bad over at the White House if they are down to eating their own just to survive.
