What a disgrace.

::::::::

The big story is that Barack Obama has ordered a ridiculously expensive diamond-encrusted ring for his wife, Michelle. This news makes me shake my head in dismay. But some of you might be wondering why I would feel this way, as many men buy diamonds for their loved ones. A diamond is forever, right? Doesn't it symbolize undying love? NO DAMNIT - It's a rock! And it symbolizes mass manipulation, exploitation, and death.

If Barack Obama cared for the people of Africa, the continent of his father, then he would never consider buying such an abhorrent piece of jewelry. The killing that has ensued over the past centuries for the control of these meaningless stones is being ignored by men and women alike who find no better way to express their love. This is the materialistic world that has been created to enslave my brothers and sisters.

If Barack Obama cared for the people of this country, then he would never buy such an ostentatious gift for his wife. People are losing their jobs, falling further into debt and despair, and struggling to feed their families. But the Obamas require the ultimate luxuries that our depleted country has to offer. They are helping to swindle the American people of the last of their treasure and must show off just glorious it has been for them.

Wake up! Do you know about Cecil Rhodes? Do you know what Africa was like before it was "colonized"? Did you know that the idea of a diamond engagement ring was begun in the middle of the 20th century as a clever marketing strategy? It was so De Beers could continue selling diamonds that had become incredibly commonplace and would lose value unless they could maintain tight control over their cartel and brainwash the public with incessant commercials and advertisements. Now women fiend for the sparkly little rocks and men who lack any insight, compassion, or creativity are all too happy to oblige.

What is it now? 1/3 of your year's salary that you are supposed to devote to an engagement ring? Why don't people instead realize that their is no inherent value in the decoration other than what has been artificially placed there. Industrial diamons are useful and are relatively inexpensive, but the "fine" diamonds are actually worthless unless you need to cut glass. Why don't people save that 1/3 of their salary and take off work, travel the world, and enjoy each other's company instead of traveling down Satan's glittering path of bloody debt?

We are a people who have become so disconnected with our spiritual nature that we have forgotten what is important. We cannot and should not try to buy love. We should not be the whores of consumerism. We are wonderful, luminous being sparkling in every moment of existence. Diamonds are really just little rocks. When people reject the lies and accept truth, maybe blood will stopped being spilled over condensed carbon. I hope you pass this message on to the men and women in your lives. Most will not care to hear it, but some will begin to understand the atrocity and will never view diamonds in the same way.

And to hell with the Obamas!

Though he is of noble blood, Ferdinand has no desire to fight or rule. He would prefer to explore, to ponder, to love, and to smell the flowers. Nevertheless, Ferdinand is a bull and he has horns.
