This will be difficult, but less difficult than watching Morgan Freeman failing to explain how the far superior beings on the nearest star will be incapable of determining where our vicious little world is located, after our probe has entered orbit around them.

Eternal Suffering Decreed

After finding the above picture of calcific degeneration at Flickr Commons as the closest to "Degeneration Guaranteed" as I could, I searched for my poem's next two lines as well as for their words as partials; and although I found numerous rock bands whose music could plausibly consist of the searched-for words, I gave up after an hour or so with nothing as close to the searched-for words as calcific degeneration had been.

But here. Let me write out the entire poem which I composed shortly after seeing Jack Nicholson bludgeoned to death in his sleep in the movie Easy Rider:

Degeneration Guaranteed

Hope Obliterated

Eternal Suffering Decreed

Cruelty Unabated

Yer World Bludgeoned In Its Sleep

Love Exterminated.

Now, over forty years later, I realize our worlds will not be bludgeoned to death in our sleep, like young drunken Jack's was, but while we're wide awake.
