A person mightn't expect the newly elected Congress to jump right in and announce impeachment. But you'd expect them to refer, even obliquely, to some undoing that's needed other than corruption.

::::::::

We've got Homeland Security.

We've got the Patriot Act.

We've got the Military Commissions Act.

We've got Public Law 109-364, aka the John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007 (HR 5122), specifically giving the president the power to declare martial law and deploy troops against the citizens of the U.S.

We've got Congress recently handing the National Guard over to the prez.

And we have a new Congress ready to be seated, not a single member of which is uttering a word about undoing any of it.

Not one word.

Instead, they're talking about investigating corruption, how money's being spent and whether it's been spent wisely.

There's bound to be a meaning in here somewhere.

Some conclusion a person can draw from it.
