Gotta say, we were heartened by Obama's upbraiding the "Supremes" last night , as he was talking about campaign finance reform. They were sitting right in front of him! So were the Brass, looking rather disgruntled as Obama hardly said anything about military, except to say that he planned to be gone from Iraq this year. Bush would have spent half the address on scare-mongering after the crotchbomber attack and making the case for more war. And he spoke directly to the Repugs when he said Healthcare should not be a partisan issue and he expected them to all pass some form of Public Option, or if they had a better idea, he wanted them to finally SHOW it to him! He spoke directly to the Dems demanding them to stand up and grow a set, (which it appears he himself did tonight). For a refreshing change, he only used the word "Bi-Partisan" once. Yes the talk was good..we started out with a Dark De Nile and almost broke out the last Obama Brew before he was done...but talk is cheap, and now we need to see some real action!

Obama for America
Dear President Obama
Your first State of the Union address was actually very good, (starting to sound like a leader again) and you did promise to get out of Iraq this year, but we also need to stop these wars in Afghanistan and Pakistan..Wars of Empire that are the biggest drain on our economy (besides the rich corporate bastards that are allowed to fleece us and move offshore!)
Let friggin' Israel fight her own wars! Get out of this dirty, shamefulbusiness, which includes torture you didn't speak about!
Glad you set those Awful "Supremes" straight! I would have given up on you as a "Constitutional scholar" if you hadn't!
They have betrayed US, and Bush appointees Roberts and Alito need to be IMPEACHED for acting like corporate shills
!
Again, Thankyou for a good speech..glad to see you appear to be growing a set....hope the other Dems will too, and you will listen to the "democratic wing of the Democratic Party", which is our PROGRESSIVES, and forget this foolish "Bipartisanship" drivel and diddling people who just want to take you down, anyway, and don't care if they take the nation down with them!

And Please! Finally get those Neocons, starting with Emanuel and Gates, OUT of your administration! They are NOT on our side!
Now we need to see some action before we donate our precious hard-earned money that we need for things like too-expensive healthcare (and health insurance, now to be MANDATED! WTF!?)and education, holding onto our houses, etc.
I know I've already "spent" alot of shoe-leather on the streets protesting for that, and time writing for "Our" concerns, and
I only donate to Progressive causes anyway, and given a chance, that's how I'll vote every time, too! (Please take note!)
PS Almost broke out our last bottle of Obama Brew last night, but waiting for your ACTIONS to make that toast!!
BW
