Throughout history, civilizations have crumbled when the people lost faith in their leaders. As you may deduce from the ample comments on the original online posting, whatever faith you may once have evoked has long since been dissipated. If you aren’t going to exercise the authority that the people have vested in you, my suggestion would be that you kindly step down and admit that you can’t handle the job.
I can’t help but imagine that there are millions of others who, like myself, have come to the conclusion that even voting anymore is an exercise in futility. It is the demagogues such as yourself who have led me to this conclusion, time and time again, with nonsensical rhetoric and a consummate lack of action.
I can only hope that you will somehow muster up the courage to actually consider what is best for your own descendents, and the legacy you want to leave behind, and do something about it.
Meanwhile, rest assured you will see no donations from me to the Democratic Party, until there is tangible evidence that anyone in the party deserves my support.
