You got my vote as dems across the board by default today via absentee ballot. It seriously pained me to vote for you Maria, for you are in essence, our Joe Lieberman.I have never voted for a Republican in a general election and never will. But you need to understand a couple of things here because I understand a couple of things:
I didn't vote for you, I voted against the GOP. I couldn't actually vote for the democrats because let's face it, you're the 2nd most incompetent, gutless bunch of political whores in the country. So as my chosen whore, I've probably only slept with you once and truth be told, I've almost certainly used you. You don't know it yet, but trust me; when you wake up in 2008 and we are still in Iraq, and you haven't impeached George W. Bush, and your party has nominated yet another politically suicidal candidate (Hillary) you will wake up to me walking out the door forever, for this will be the LAST time I vote for you if your performance in power, is as shameful and pathetic as your performance as a so-called "opposition party" has been.
As a citizen, I did what I had to do to live with myself; I choose the lessor of evils from a reality based perspective. While that reality based perspective may well put you back in power tomorrow, you need to be painfully aware that in 2008, that same reality based perspective is going to have been operative for 2 more years, and unless I see something I have absolutely no evidence for thus far, 2008 will mark the last time I ever vote for anyone in your party. I'm rather certain that I speak for several million people in this. Believing that is the most satisfaction I've had in 6 years; 6 years of witnessing your treasonous complicity, complete political cowardice, and total failure to actually do the kind of work I expect my leaders to do (like reading intelligence reports and making informed, correct decisions).
So if you "win" tomorrow, be advised in advance, unless you are unexpectedly satisfying, and unless you immediately act to impeach George W. Bush, this is going to be a one night stand.
Jay Esbe, planning permanent retirement as a Democratic voter unless you change.
