There is a Dark Dawn Coming
Let me start out by saying I don’t have much hope that mankind is going to make it much further, and not because I’m into the rapture, or religion, I’m not a soothsayer, Shaman, or anything of that nature, I just have been observing for six decades the history of mankind’s behavior and from basic understanding of math and commonsense have come to a conclusion that we’re screwed.
The only solace I have is that I’m not so totally sure this is the case, but it sure looks that way.
For all it’s worth, there are many worthy “causes” to get behind, that is if you haven’t sub come to despair, drugs, madness or suicide, or worse, denial with having what may be forbidden knowledge, and those causes may yet save us and prove me and the Mayans wrong.
That would be nice. To live out my few remaining years seeing some of the wrongs, righted, passing with some dignity knowing that maybe mankind can fulfill his destiny on this beautiful blue ball before it to gets sucked into a vortex 5 or so billions of years from now.
There is a saying, “Those that know, do not tell”. And I can understand that when that knowledge isn’t something anybody wants to hear. What if that knowledge is so shocking that insanity, drugs or suicide would seem the less painful avenue, or such a jolt to your system denial would kick in for survival sake? Those of you with children, how would you look your children in the eyes when they ask you “Why? Why would you be so thoughtless to bring me into a world that’s getting ready to explode, face starvation, imprisonment or conscription into a soulless killing machine?”
Told you, you wouldn’t want to hear.
So, what do we do? We find something to get behind. Even though the odds are slim, we do something. All in our own way, we buy some time and make it to the next day. For many it’s to the next minute or even seconds of wondering how long before the totality of reality breaks you completely? This way leads to madness.
There are so many causes to get behind that if for no other reason would give some measure of comfort to both others and therefore yourself that it’s hard to pick just one, but if I had to pick one right now it would be trying to stop not only the current war of aggression, but more importantly, stopping this gang of war-mongering cretins from starting another one.
It’s nice to want to believe that come January 09’ everything will be fine. It would be nice if all our worst fears never come to pass. That our Congress starts acting like one, and criminals receive justice, we start working with Nature rather than to trying to concur Nature, we feed the hungry, heal the sick and make the rich do all the heavy lifting. All of this would be nice. But as I’ve mentioned, I’m not a hopeful man.
So I’ll pick one fight right now and the reason I’m picking it is I truly believe if we are to have a chance at all of buying some time so we can make it to the next fight, stopping the spread of any more killing would be what we need to do. Because if we don’t all bets are off.
This sky is falling, and before it falls to the ground we must start to do something we haven’t done for some time, break-out of our routines and those of us who have not talked need to start talking. You need to talk to others about how you feel, especially your so-called representatives.
I know, I know, many of you more cynical are thinking, calling them is akin to getting screwed in the ass as a cure for AIDS, but we have to start somewhere and I notice that when I call I usually have no problem getting through, so lines are open folks, the people are polite, most of the time they don’t even ask for your name, most of them actually sound sympathetic, so at times it feels as though you just left a therapist, having gotten something off your chest.
Do it for “shits & giggles”. Just call and tell them you want an end to war – all wars. You want health-care and playgrounds for your kids, and schools that teach and all those things that make a descent standard of living a reality for everyone, so people don’t have to steal or beg for something to eat, or live under overpasses, and for that you wouldn’t mind paying your taxes, but for now you can’t see any reason to do that. And you’re not going to do it anymore until they stop throwing money away on wars no one seems to want except them. Tell them they can have their wars if they want but they’ll be paying for them with their own money, because yours is going to be spent feeding your family, seeing to health-care and that you still make your house payment.
Who knows, maybe, just maybe, one of these days I’ll go to call and all the lines will be busy, and they’ll be news stories of how Congressmen are being inundated with phone calls, letters and telegrams (my favorite – costs a little more but you can have them hand delivered), and that their halls and offices are crammed with constituents demanding action.
For those of us who have been for what often seems like fighting windmills now forever, we need to suit-up and enter the breach one more time with all the strength that we have left and take everything to the next level. Treat this as your final battle, for you won’t be wrong.
Peaceful civil disobedience is going to have to get creative to a point we reach nearly every venue. Everyone should have their lives interrupted and be reminded that as much as they would like to believe this won’t touch them, that if they just simply go about their daily lives like they always have and that it will all just go away, need us to tell them that if they wait for someone else to tell them it will be jackboots and thugs in uniform kicking in their doors who will. And this might happen even if we stop the cretins from further carnage, but one thing is for certain it will happen if we don’t at least try to stop them.
Some of what we do will call for some huge sacrifices. Those that wage war are very good at what they do and have been preparing for this for a long time, whereas most of the masses have just started to get involved, if not just becoming aware. When they have perfected the art of killing against well trained armies, overwhelming masses of unarmed civilians are no match either, but again, if we don’t try to stop them, it is a certain fact that we’ll sub come to their swords.
For those to shy or incapable for whatever reason to pick-up a phone or sign, give money to this site, or other sites or organizations that are fighting the fight. The cretins have big oil and big business with unlimited funds and we have you. Whatever you can give that doesn’t take from you – give.
We don’t have much longer before they swing open the gates for the Four Horsemen to come galloping through, it’s already open. We must, not let them open it any further. We must slam it shut or you can kiss whatever dreams you had good-bye tonight. For tomorrow will bring a dark dawn.
