This is similar to his statements in his The Work of Nations (1991) where he explained:
"As borders become ever more meaningless in economic terms...there will be no national products or technologies, no national corporations, no national industries...Each nations primary political task will be to cope with centrifugal forces of the global economy which tear at the ties binding citizens together."
