ENVISION THIS!...A national environmental policy, including climate change and energy transition, that takes complexity theories from the natural sciences, social sciences, social theory, and philosophy all into account.
This is the vision that Jennifer Wells, a writer and professor, who has worked in film wants to share with us. Her book, Complexity and Sustainability ,
focuses on shifting environmental policy from vicious to virtuous
circles, and from piecemeal to synergistic approaches. Jennifer examines
how complexity theories may advance environmental policy. Her case
studies focus on climate change and the energy transition. The
complexity framework she develops has numerous implications regarding
converging, multidimensional global crises, and thus environmental
science, policy and management.
