So far and away better than any other large progressive news site

Color me Crazy for OpEdNews!!!

I've been meaning to write this diary for some time, two weeks to be exact.

Around the time When the hoopla was happening here on OpEdNews regarding the new second chance system, I was cross posting my 9/11 article, http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_steven_l_070911_9_2f11_was_there_a_con.htm , on Democratic Underground and DailyKos. I expected that the postings would be received the same as countless others. That I was wrong in that assumption is an understatement.

At DU, my posting was immediately removed and consigned to what is known as the 9/11 Dungeon, a forum for only 9/11 related discussions far from the light of the more popular forums. At DailyKos, the reaction was even more severe, I immediately received harsh criticism from several respondants who also threatened that the mods would permanently ban me from the site for posting a 9/11 conspiracy article. I deleted the diary and sent a note of apology to the mods and owner explaining that I didnt know of the rule banning any 9/11 submissions.

If you read the article in question, I think you will agree that it is a very level-headed and factual approach to the 9/11 question. I cited main stream polling that unequivocally shows that a majority people doubt the official story. The theories I listed were some of the more popular ones that people actually believe.

Only at OpEdNews was my article allowed to be posted unmolested, unedited, and in the primary forum. I noted at first with some amusement and then increasing frustration the reaction of some people here to the introduction of the second chance system. There is no comparison to the level of free speech allowed here versus other large left leaning sites and the comparison is even more stark when compared to other news agencies whose articles are accepted at a major news clearning house like Google News.

I want to express my appreciation for Rob and the Mods here and everything they are trying to do. I think it is all great.

Steve
