Chuck Todd, in his new role at MSNBC, keeps missing the mark in his questions to the President.

I remember MSNBC's Chuck Todd during the 2008 election. He was a master number-cruncher. But I've been disappointed in his new role as a White House correspondent.

First, in a February press conference, Todd asked a question  that showed a fundamental misunderstanding of the current economic crisis: that it was caused by too much consumer spending. A pretty absurd notion, that ignores the deregulation of the banking and related industries.

Last night, Todd did it again, deciding that the real problem the American people have, is not being asked to sacrifice in this worst recession since the Great Depression.

Chuck, maybe you should go back to number-crunching.
