In a recent interview, former VP Dick Cheney says he sees the Republican Party coming back. That is a pretty good call on Cheney's part. Now admittedly this is coming from the man that said there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and that the war there would be over in jiffy. So his track record on prophesying the future is not so good.
But I bet he is right on the Republican Party and here is why.
In America the 2 party system will not go away since both parties are financed by the military industrial complex to appear as if there is real choice. So if you don't like what the right hand of the beast has been doing, just spend some time with the left hand of the beast. Then, after awhile, you will not like the left hand of the beast and you will howl for change. Then you get to choose the right hand of the beast.
This is the way the system works in America and it is called Democracy. The American public never gets tired of the show and they buy into it every couple of years. The whole thing is bought and paid for by the corporate elite, much like they buy adds on television and expect the public to buy the products.
So my guess is Cheney is right on this one because the public likes to keep being fooled.
