Here's a link to a directory page, that on the right hand side, shows the most popular tags for the past two years. You can change the date range to see the l last four years or the past week or month.
I'm hoping this will intrigue you and you'll play with it then report back observations to the rest of us. I'm posting this as a diary so you can post your observations there. I'm hoping you will see patterns or make conclusions based on this data from over 120,000 articles, plus diaries, quicklinks and polls.
For example, here are the top tags for the sub-directory for Activism. It was done with the sublevels radio button checked off, so subdirectories are included. You can do this for any subdirectory for any time range back to 2006. The numbers next to the tags are the number of content items with that tag.
