Charley Savage and Arianna Huffington Tread Upon Imperialism in America They assess use of signing statements Candidates on executive power: a full spectrum By Charlie Savage Globe Staff / December 22, 2007
& The Imperial Presidency: The '08 Candidates Weigh In By Arianna Huffington, HuffingtonPost.com. Posted December 28, 2007 HUFFINGTON LOOKS AT THE IMPERIAL PRESIDENCY, AND GIVES THE JERKS A JERK. She reports on Charley Savage Pulitzer Prize winner's article and his questionnaire on Imperial Power.
Arianna Huffington attacks the Imperial Presidency with a vengeance, Giuliani refuses to answer Savage's questionnaire, and goes unclear and underground with an obvious comment aimed at his voter base of spiteful Neo-cons, and addle-brained fools, supporting it. Romney makes no bones about liking unfettered power but not caring much for the constitutional rights of anyone. "Staying alive..." he thinks is the most basic right, defying, "Give me liberty or give me death," and Patrick Henry, and in Bushite fashion, his own father. McCain, because Neo-conism is not working for Bush's poll numbers, goes democratic; Ron Paul savages the Republican's who refused to answer the questionnaire. I have a questionnaire of my own. I want to ask Bush and Cheney if they either put the idea into the head of the Puffed-up-headed president of Pakistan to have Berazin Bhutto assassinated, or into the heads of the CIA or their pal Osama Bin Ladin? Or were the Bushites innocent in this case, and simply upstaged by some as yet, unknown Free-lance Psychotic? There are a lot of them running around, even here.
I also want to know who brilliantly advised Berazin Bhutto to stick her head out of the auto, or why someone did not sit her down and apprise her of the realities of living in a state run by a loony-toon's "President," and wannabe dictator, after his mentor, Bush.
