When Cindy McCain cat-clawed Michelle Obama on her “proud to be an American” comment, they went after the wrong thing.
They went after the press reporting on candidates wives or husbands; they did not go after the heart of this matter -- the tigress who roared and political spouses on the attack.
When, on Good Morning America, catty chatty Cindy was asked about Michelle’s comment, she said, I don’t know why she said what she said. All I know is I’ve always been proud of my country.
Cindy’s pride in country was not the question.
It would have been so classy if she would have kept her gorgeous plastic mouth shut and simply replied, you’ll have to ask Michelle about that, next question.
The youngster, Chelsea Clinton, is the wisest of the political family members. Whenever asked about Bill’s dalliances, her reply was a polite shut the F-up; I’m not going there!
Cat sniping at Michelle by Cindy went beyond the pale.
Teresa Kerry and Tipper Gore never went after Laura Bush who has a deep dark background including manslaughter of a boyfriend and happy, liberal use of drugs as a young woman.
There's so much Michelle could go after Cindy on. Drinking. Drugs. Staying with the woman-hating, wife abusing Johnny My wife the C-bitch Calling McCain.
Migawd, the woman is so stupid she learned absolutely anything from getting caught telling a stupid cookie recipe lie, and then she went and did it again.
Candidates wives and husbands should stay out of the spouse-sliming fray, but the press should not. That’s an entirely different issue.
When a candidate’s spouse has a dubious past, the press has an obligation to bring it up. And secret they can ferret out, a political blackmailer can, too. Once opened to public discussion, that weapon is gone.
Cindy, take a lesson from a much younger, much wiser Chelsea. When it comes to sliming the opposition’s wife you are just a vulnerable.
So shut the F-up.
