Bin Laden is dead. Great. Now let's stop all the stupid wars, and close over 1000 bases worldwide. By the way World War II is over too. Why do we still have bases worldwide? Did our empire replace the British one? That's another story.
The president needs to reinstate our Constitutional rights. The TSA needs to stop monitoring airline passengers and sexually assaulting them and scanning them in the nude. We could save loads of money by gutting the many spying and policing agencies that the US has. The US could save loads by gutting the private contractors for the military. Gut them and investigate these individuals for fraud.
Instead of waging wars to control oil, Mr. Obama needs to take a choke hold over oil companies by either taxing, trust-busting, or nationalizing them. That way we can begin to change the way we live and transport ourselves. We need a sustainable way to live and transport ourselves. The oil industry has had a huge amount of power in this country and he needs to step up and snatch that power away, so that the US can move forward and change gears from an oil driven economy to a more sustainable renewable energy driven economy.
Largely I think the whole Osama bin Laden story was a way to create a boogie man to wage wars for oil companies. We see the attack on Libya as continuation of the same. Why didn't France attack Syria? They have no oil. Obama masterfully ended the fairy tale boogie man story, but he needs to move now to return this country to pre-Bush II and even further. He needs to stop WWII as well. All those wars are over, let's stop playing world COP. Let's use that energy and good will to discipline oil companies and banks in this country.
Restore Glass Steagall, nationalize oil companies, trust bust banks, nationalize the federal reserve, and stop playing world COP.
